1. The seller may pressure the customer to waive their right to a five-day cancellation period, claiming that the membership being purchased is a special one-day offer. This is illegal in Mexico.
2. The seller commits to selling the customer's old timeshare for the cost of the new timeshare. In the end, the customer is referred to a resale company that doesn't sell their old timeshare, leaving them stuck with two timeshares and maintenance fees for both properties.
